Alec Levenson PhD

Alec Levenson, PhD, has expertise in the economics of human resources and organization design; HR and human capital metrics, analytics and return on investment; talent strategies for the new world of work and new generation of workers; and global and emerging market talent strategies. He is a senior research scientist at the USC Center for Effective Organizations. As a researcher and consultant, he works with companies to optimize job and organization performance and HR systems through the application of organization design, job design, human capital analytics and strategic talent management. His clients have included Amgen, American Express, Boeing, Capital One, Chevron, Cisco Systems, Dow Chemical, Dreyer’s/Nestle, Exelon, Frito-Lay/PepsiCo, Johnson Controls, Microsoft, Pfizer, Philips, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Rio Tinto and Royal Bank of Canada, among others. He is the author of Strategic Analytics and Employee Surveys That Work, and the co-author of What Millennials Want From Work. He has received research grants from the Sloan Foundation, Russell Sage Foundation, Rockefeller Foundation, National Science Foundation and National Institute for Literacy.
