Christine Porath, PhD, examines incivility and its effects, ways that organizations can create a more positive environment where people can thrive, and the resulting benefits to both organizational and individual wellbeing and performance. She is an associate professor at Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business. She co-authored The Cost of Bad Behavior: How Incivility Is Damaging Your Business and What to Do About It, and her research has been published in numerous prestigious journals, including Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Applied Psychology, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes and Harvard Business Review. Her work related to incivility has been featured worldwide in more than 500 national and international media outlets, from The Wall Street Journal to the BBC.
