Laureen Pfizenmaier

Laureen Pfizenmaier is an engineer by training who thrives on change and challenge. She has spent the bulk of her career in program management, transforming strategy into reality, leading global, cross-functional teams, and implementing innovative and scalable change management, project management, and portfolio management processes. From start-ups to Fortune 500 companies, Laureen has led multiple transformation and business process optimization initiatives to improve organizational performance. As Director of Program Management, Covidien, she led a $35 million HR transformation program, establishing and operationalizing a PMO and HR governance system and assuring alignment across all stakeholders for the CHRO. Laureen also has past experience in mergers/acquisitions/divestitures from Medtronic/Covidien and Gillette/P&G integrations.

Laureen earned a bachelor’s degree from Russell Sage College, where she majored in Chemistry and Management, and an MS in Information Systems from Northeastern University. She has been a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI) since 2006, holds the project management professional (PMP) credential, and has served as a subject matter expert (SME)/reviewer on two PMI publications. Laureen currently serves on two non-profit boards, one as Treasurer. She is currently working as a consultant in the Greater Boston area and as a lecturer in project management.
