He brings more than a decade of experience in finance, including post-graduate research in high-frequency market transactions for the CME Group, leadership in commercial banking, and consulting for fintech startups. His previous roles include serving as Vice President of Business Intelligence for a commercial bank, where he led digital transformation initiatives, and Director of the Market Information Lab at the University of Illinois, where he built bridges between academia and financial technology.
Jose Luis earned a BS in mathematics and computer science and an MS in computer science from Loyola University Chicago, as well as an MBA in finance and banking from Washington University in St. Louis. He is a board member of the International Institute of St. Louis and a Bauer Leadership Fellow at Washington University, reflecting his commitment to leadership, education, and community engagement.
