Uzma S. Burki, PhD, has over 20 years of experience leading major HR and business transformations as a C-suite HR executive in various industry verticals including finance, biomedical, nonprofit, transportation, defense contracting, and R&D. She currently serves as the Deputy Director, Total Rewards and Global Mobility, for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
Her specialties include employee development and training, talent acquisition, labor relations, employee relations, talent management, executive development, total rewards (compensation and benefits), HR policies and procedures, change management, and creating a balanced scorecard.
Uzma has a PhD in Human and Organizational Systems from Fielding Graduate University. She also holds master’s degrees from Columbia University and Kansas State, and an MALD from The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University.
