Anna Abelson is a seasoned educator and business consultant specializing in global travel and tourism. She has led efforts to support varied international travel brands and governmental entities through primary research, promotional partnerships, and an integrated strategic approach. A recipient of Magellan and HSMAI Adrian awards, she has been recognized for her work in driving growth for tourism boards, major airlines, and affiliated businesses.
Currently a business coach, she provides leadership development services for Columbia University’s CU Grow program. She is a Skift Council member, a Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International board member, and belongs to other key industry organizations. Anna frequently speaks at industry conferences and events and has moderated roundtables. Her research interests include destination marketing, smart tourism, visitor economy, sustainable tourism, destination brand perception, behavioral economics, and emerging destinations. She holds an MS in tourism management and hospitality industry studies from New York University.
