Leonard Jackson is an experienced educator with more than 20 years of corporate and academic experience in the field of hospitality and tourism. He specializes in business development, financial management and control, accounting, auditing, feasibility analysis, real estate finance, asset management, and operations management.
Leonard earned an MBA from the University of Guelph in Canada, an MS in management information systems from Oklahoma State University, a MAcc (master of accounting) from Florida Atlantic University, an MS in entrepreneurship from the University of Florida, as well as a PhD specializing in hospitality and tourism administration from Oklahoma State University. He also completed postdoctoral studies in finance, accounting, and entrepreneurship at the University of Florida.
He holds the following professional certifications: Certificate in Blockchain Technologies: Business Innovation and Application from Massachusetts Institute of Technology; Certificates in Hotel Real Estate Investments and Asset Management and in Hotel Revenue Management from Cornell University; Certification in Advanced Hospitality and Tourism Analytics from Smith Travel Research; and a Graduate Certificate in Information Assurance from Oklahoma State University. He has published over 50 intellectual contributions and presented his work at numerous academic and industry conferences.
