Tiffany Danko has over 23 years’ experience in homeland security and emergency management, and she is a professional in maritime security, intelligence, and international affairs, having led multi-disciplinary organizations worldwide as a Captain in the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve. She has served in senior leadership and Commanding Officer roles, and she has also developed graduate homeland security and emergency management programs incorporating extensive experiential education opportunities.
She has an EdD in organizational leadership studies from Northeastern University and has published articles on leadership as well as military matters. She is a 2013 U.S. Naval War College Command and Staff Program graduate and a 2015 Joint Forces Staff College Joint Combined Warfighting School Graduate, with a master of arts degree in human performance technology from San Diego State University and a bachelor of science from the United States Coast Guard Academy. She is a NIMS Type 3 Incident Commander, Planning Section Chief, and Liaison Officer, as well as a Navy Surface Warfare Officer (SWO) and Department of the Navy International Affairs Level 1 Professional.
