Daniell Whittington

Daniell Whittington brings a decade of leadership experience in academic, public, and nonprofit library settings. As Library Manager at Corona Public Library, she launched the institution’s first strategic plan in its more than 100-year history, secured significant grant funding to enhance literacy and local history programs, and played a key role in developing the city’s first Innovation Center within the library. Previously, as Executive Director of the Library at Fuller Theological Seminary, Daniell led digital transformation efforts that expanded remote access and modernized infrastructure to better serve online learners. Her expertise includes electronic resource management, knowledge curation, and stakeholder engagement, all rooted in a commitment to inclusive, user-centered service. Known for fostering collaborative teams and aligning library services with institutional goals, Daniell is a dedicated advocate for equitable access to information through strategic leadership and community-driven innovation.

Daniell earned her BA and MA in history from California State University, Fullerton, and an MLIS from San José State University. She serves as webmaster for The Welebaethan, Phi Alpha Theta’s award-winning online journal. Among her notable achievements is the creation and installation of primary school libraries in South Africa and Malaysia; projects that highlight the transformative power of libraries in promoting educational access across global communities.
