The MMLIS program at Bovard College offers a unique and relevant experience in the constantly evolving library and information science field. Students explore leadership and management strategies that prepare them for high-level career paths while learning information science fundamentals. MMLIS students develop skills, perspectives, and networks necessary for a positive, sustainable, and equitable impact in connected libraries and information organizations.
Student Assessment
The MMLIS Program Learning Outcomes reflect the core competencies required of tomorrow’s librarians and information professionals, as articulated by the American Library Association. These outcomes align with the learning objectives for each LIM course. Course learning activities and assignments reflect the aligned learning objectives. Within this model, we ensure that each student addresses all program learning outcomes. At the end of the MMLIS program, students apply their cumulative knowledge and experience gained throughout the program to complete a capstone project, demonstrating their achievement of the program learning outcomes based on their interests and career aspirations.
