
Eimmy Solis is the Social Sciences Data Librarian at the University of Southern California (USC). She supports students, faculty, and staff with in-person and virtual research consultations and instruction, focusing on public administration, policy, and government information. Eimmy oversees data services, helps locate data and statistics in the social sciences, and conducts data literacy workshops. She also serves as USC’s representative to the Inter-Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR). Previously, Eimmy was the Business Librarian for New York University Libraries where she provided business and information literacy support and collection development.
Eimmy earned a BA in economics and Spanish language and literature at the University of California, Berkeley; an MA in business education at New York University; and an MS in library and information science at Long Island University’s Palmer School. She is a member of the American Library Association and the International Association for Social Science Information Service and Technology. Eimmy has published several articles, including “Information-seeking behavior of economics graduate students: If you buy it, will they come?” (2018) and “Finding U.S. health data and statistics: A guide for social science researchers” (2020), both in the Journal of Business & Finance Librarianship.
