Michael Spead has over 15 years of experience transforming organizational strategies and objectives into actionable projects and programs for commercial, non-profit, and government entities. He supports the development and management of project management offices (PMOs), leveraging a variety of methodologies, including PMBOK and Agile.
Currently, Michael is the Director of Project Management at a large global consulting firm, where he supports the evolution of the corporate back-office (people, processes, and systems) to drive efficiency and continued growth. In this role, he designs and directs strategic initiatives to improve the executive management, accounting/finance, human capital, information technology, and marketing/business development functions.
An active volunteer in the PMIWDC Chapter, Michael served as a board member (Vice President of Partnership Management, Vice President of Higher Education), where he supported the advancement of both project management as a body of knowledge and the project management profession across corporate, government, non-profit, and educational entities.
He holds a BBA from the George Washington University with concentrations in Finance and International Finance, an MBA from George Mason University with an emphasis in Project Management, and a JD from the Catholic University of America.
